Exchange Traded Funds

What is an Exchange Traded Fund?

Exchange traded funds (ETF's) are baskets of securities designed to track a specific index, such as the S&P 500. ETF's are listed on an exchange and can be traded intraday. Investors can buy or sell shares of an entire portfolio as a single security. Exchange traded funds combine the flexibility, ease, and liquidity of stock trading with the benefits of traditional index fund investing.  The ETF industry is growing rapidly as investors learn the benefits that can be achieved by considering these unique investments in their portfolios.  Sarasota Capital Strategies has years of experience in the design and management of ETF portfolios.
